Web designing plays a vital role for making a website successful. However, there are some web designing myths that are creating confusion and misleading people to make big mistakes. Here are some that you need to be aware of.

Myth One: using maximum colors will make sure that you get a very beautiful website. A web design that is highly pleasing works great in attracting visitors; however, it should not be a rainbow at the same time. Many researches show that mixing up or using too many colors will simply kills the appearance of any website. Usually too many colors in a web designs gets most of the visitors highly irritated. Many of them have eyes that do not feel comfortable looking at such bright and fancy stuff. On the colors that will suit the purpose of the website and the chosen theme should be used; a web designer should avoid adding extra and useless colors.

Myth Two: usage of too much graphics is a wise move. Well, no it is not. Although it is a fact that graphics do make it easy to communicate but at the same time overdoing them will make things difficult rather than simple. Also, any web page that carries heavy graphics will take more time to load annoying the visitors. Most of the visitors love web designs that are made around easily loading and simple graphics therefore avoid believing on this myth.

Myth Three: the use of flash is necessary if you want your website to be attractive. Today, the usage of flash is a lot especially when animations and promotional banners are created throughout the web design process. Using flash while designing banners will only work if you use them frugally and efficiently since these flash banners can add the factor of believability to any web design. However, there are disadvantages of doing so as well. Flash banners will only download easily if the internet connection carries a high speed. Also, many visitors will not even have flash plugins in their PC and might lose patience.

Myth Four: the website looks the same in all the different browsers. Many web designers believe that the attractive web design they created will look exactly the same as it does on their computer and browser. However, this is not the case since every browser perceives HTML pages in its own different way therefore the web standards should be kept in mind that are used by various browsers when creating a web design.
